Recipes

Over the past few years, I have tried hundreds of vegetarian and vegan recipes and amassed a good collection of really tasty dishes that I want to share with you. Many of my recipes are adapted from various cook books, both veggie and non-veggie, and I will give a link to the inspiration for my recipes.

I love to try new recipes. I can spend hours reading cook books and thinking about how I can adapt the recipes to my taste.

That’s the glorious thing about cooking- each recipe you read is a blueprint of how the bones of the dish is built and you can add or take away as you try the recipe multiple times. My biggest advice to TASTE your food. Particularly as a vegetarian- very few veggie ingredients will going to give you food poisoning if you eat it raw. I taste throughout cooking to make sure that the spicing and seasoning is right.

Here’s the thing to remember about my dishes:

  • I like spicy food so many of my recipes have quite a lot of chilli and spices in them. Life is too short for bland food!! However, if you’re not a spice fiend like me, feel free to reduce the amount of spicy ingredients.
  • I often cook to serve four and reuse any leftovers later that week or freeze them if I make a big batch.
  • Some of my recipes are vegan, but the majority of them are not. I will mark the vegan recipes clearly.
  • I have included WW points on each of the recipes- this helps me meal plan my weekdays to ensure that I am staying on track and have enough room to splurge at the weekend, if I want to.
  • I often use spray oil, mostly because it is zero points on WW up to 15 sprays, but feel free to use olive oil, coconut oil, or another oil of choice.
